Steve Gomez- Women’s Basketball Head Coach at Lubbock Christian University

Steve Gomez has been with the Lady Chaps for over 16 seasons as Head Coach of the Women’s Basketball Program.  Gomez entered the 2019-2020 season with a 397-122 collegiate coaching record.  He started his career coaching at several local Lubbock area high schools and is an LCU graduate with his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.   One of the main reasons Coach Gomez is so successful on the court is the support he receives off of it.  Steve has been married to his wife Shawna for 31 years, and the couple has two children: Hayden and Landon.
